High Quality Hair Care Should be Available to All Women and Children, Says CURLS

Why should one demographic of women receive all of the high quality hair care there is to offer?  CURLS Founder and CEO Mahisha Dellinger thinks otherwise.  In fact her CURLS Street Team in Dallas, Texas recently visited a homeless shelter to empower women in children with high quality hair care.

Women with texture can have a tough time taking care for their hair and who doesn’t love having healthy hair.  In order for your hair to be in excellent condition, it takes hair care products to nourish the strands from the inside out.  Curly hair care products like CURLS are perfect for rich moisture, balanced strength and versatile styling options. Families that experience moments of homelessness have a very difficult time keeping up with the workload of hair care, as this is not the first priority.

Therefore the CURLS visit was a real treat.

The many women in attendance learned proper cleansing, moisturizing and styling techniques to accommodate their textured hair.  Followed by a time to relax over lunch, and talk about the benefits and challenges of maintaining hair in our fast paced lifestyles, full of responsibilities.

Each woman took home the product line to accommodate her new basic hair care regimen.  Which includes:

1. Cleanse once a week with CURLS Creamy Cleanser.  The cleanser is an organic-based moisturizing formula to release dirt from your hair without stripping of its natural, needed sebum.

2. Condition immediately with CURLS Coconut Curlada Conditioner.  This can also be used as a mid-week rinse.  The formula serves as an accompaniment to the cleanser.  The perfect partner for balancing moisture levels of the hair.

3. Moisturize daily and after cleansing and conditioning routines with CURLS Lavish Curls Moisturizer.  A leave in styler is purposed to prep the hair appropriately for styling.  The emollients surround the hair strand to protect from damage and breakage.

4. Style with CURLS Crème Brule Whipped Cream for curl styling.  This all-purpose styler works for fine to thick hair types and leaves hair defined and soft.

5. Finish with CURLS Goddess Curl Gel.  This botanical formula holds the hair in place for firm curl styling and curl sets.

With this basic regimen you, like these ladies can maintain your curlicious locks with minimal effort.

Take your hair care to higher levels with CURLS organic hair care for the entire family.

Here Are The Basics To Safely Straightening Your Naturally Curly Hair

You are probably shaking in your boots.  Wondering if your hair can withstand the heat.  I bet you have pondered ways to salvage your strands and how you can minimize the risk of breakage.  I too have sat and pondered, sometimes for days on whether or not to take the straightening risk.  Here are some ways to safely straighten your naturally curly hair.

First, assess your hair for strength and moisture.  Is your hair in a healthy state and have you been following a trusted hair care regiment that includes regular conditioning, cleansing and minimal styling?  Do you seal your ends and protect them during the night and day?  If most of your answers are no, you may want to reconsider straightening your hair.  It is not worth it to enjoy a temporary style at the expense of months, to years worth of hair repair.  If you mostly answered yes to those questions, your hair may be strong enough to handle a little heat.

To begin, always start with clean hair.  When you flatiron hair that is not clean, you take the chance of binding your hair to the build up on your hair so rinse that off and move on to conditionHair Ecstasy Hair Tea Deep Conditioner at least a week before the day you straighten your hair and again shortly after wearing your straight style.
ing.  Deep condition your hair with an organic deep conditioner like

After cleansing and conditioning your hair, apply a leave in conditioner, and an oil/serum as heat protection against the heat of the blow dryer and flatiron or pressing comb.  An excellent oil with sheen and strengthening can be found in the Champagne and Caviar Curl Elixir stocked full of Grape and Caviar extracts, vitamins, keratin and more.  It’s blend puts up the needed battle against heat damage.  Now you are ready to blow dry and/or flatiron your hair with medium heat.  Are you excited?

So remember to cleanse, condition, and protect your naturally curly hair against heat using Organic hair products.  Your hair is worth it, don’t you think?

How to Properly Care for Your Curls When Wearing Protective Braid Styles

Braids can make or break your natural curls based on the way you care for them.  Remember to monitor the tension, hydrate daily, and perform a proper takedown for healthy hair.

Summer time typically includes vacations, breaks, trips to the beach, laying in the hot sun, or simply spending more time outdoors.  This change in one’s lifestyle could overexpose your curls to harmful UV rays, dryness, frizz, or other harmful elements.  This is why many women with textured hair wear their hair in twists or braids, with or without extension. These make a wonderful choice of protective style, especially for curly hair.  There are a few things to consider in your naturally curly hair care routine, when wearing braids.

Monitor Tension

Assess your scalp for tenderness before braiding.  Take note if there are certain areas that require gentle treatment. Next, assess the strength of your natural hair and determine whether your hair is in a strong or weak state.   Communicate with your hair braider about the health of your hair and scalp beforehand and choose a style that will minimize the pulling and tugging.  If you choose to do individual or micro braids with extension, be sure they are not too small or too big, but somewhere in between.  These braids should also be worn no more than 8-10 weeks at a time.  Around the 4 -6 week mark, be sure to take down the braids around your edges and redo them, to prevent “hanging braids” which cause breakage around your perimeter.

Hydrate Daily

One major benefit to wearing braids is the ability to hydrate and strengthen daily without disrupting your style.  To moisturize, find a good quality curly hair care product line that carries a leave in conditioner like Cashmere Curls by CURLS.  This spray is rich in moisture and strength, penetrating three layers of the hair.  This Leave-in Spray should be sprayed on your natural hair (within the braid) every night before applying your satin cap.

Perform a Proper Takedown

Your hair has been growing and strengthening while in the braided protective style.  Remember to take down your hair in the recommended time, as a build up of dust, could form around the base of the braid and within.  Therefore take down each braid and comb the hair and debri gently before proceeding on to the next braid.  Shampoo with a good cleansing curly hair care product and deep condition before styling.

Wearing braids can be a great way to give your curls a break.  Follow these instructions to maximize the benefits of wearing braids and afterwards, you can enjoy the fun of strong, healthy curly hair.

Buying Products for Your Naturally Curly Hair

Finding the Best Shampoo For Curly Hair starts with knowing your hair type.

If you have naturally curly hair then the best shampoo for curly hair is based on the tightness of your curls. Curly hair can be extremely difficult to maintain. People who do not have curly hair may not always understand how much work is required. If your curly hair is not properly maintained then it ends up looking like a mop of poorly defined ringlets. How you care for curly hair is based on the texture you have. For all curly hair types the most important thing is conditioning. Curly hair does not get the same natural oils from the scalp that wavy and straight hair gets. The texture of the curls inhibits constant brushing which is required in order to move natural scalp oils throughout the hair. If you have curly hair you need to ensure that it is conditioned regularly. In fact just shampooing regularly will dehydrate curly hair because the warm water will open the hair cuticle which lets the cleansers flow inside and rinse out any of the nutrients you had. The same thing happens when you wash your hands—they feel dry after. This is why it is imperative that you condition your hair regularly if you have curly hair.

It is also important that in addition to regular conditioning that you conduct deep conditioning treatments two times per month in order to keep your curly hair in good shape. There are many deep treatments and intensive treatments that can help you fight against the damage of air conditioning and wind and blow drying. These products will give you a lot of moisture and suppleness which can transform brittle hair into moisturized hair without adding weight.

If you have wavy to loose hair you probably battle with your curls falling flat. So to style this you should use combat frizz gels or mousse to add life to the waves. You can use volumizing conditioners too to give a little extra bounce without adding weight to your hair. If you have medium curly hair then you will need to moisturize regularly to keep your hair healthy and smooth. Most people have medium curly hair and it is often considered the “classic” curly hair. But you need to keep the curls defined but your frizz limited when you style it and you can do that with hydrating products. You also want to avoid using brushes or combs on your hair when it is dry because this will lead to expansion which is what contributes to frizzy hair.

Buying Reasonable & Quality Hair Products for Curly Hair is Meaningful

You can take good care of your hair with quality hair care products. In this way, you are able to get perfect results in terms of shinny hairs.

Women who desire quality hair care products should read ingredients carefully if they want to ensure they are using hair products for curly hair. The reason being some products include ingredients which could lead women to suffer from a few major hormonal changes. The most common is menopause. This causes a fluctuation of hormone products for women which can influence the levels of hair production. Because of this, women will see thinning hair as a side effect of menopause. This can even take place long before a menstrual period has ended because of the declining levels of hormones. This period wherein the hormone levels in a women decline, is called peri-menopause. This time period can sometimes last for years.

Women who are experiencing hair loss or hair thinning and need thinning hair remedies might also be pregnant or nursing. During these periods in the life of a woman, the amount of progesterone and estrogen dramatically fluctuate in order to create an environment conducive to the growth of a child. In these cases, the primary role of the woman’s hormones are meant to support or prepare for the child which means that other functions in the body are inhibited or poorly affected, including hair growth. Hair texture as well as hair loss is linked directly to the levels of hormones which mean that women can experience daily hair loss or a drastic change in the texture of their hair if they are pregnant or they are nursing. Generally, this is a temporary condition and after six months the process returns to normal. However, that is not always the case.

There are many available thinning hair remedies. Each of them focuses on the cycles of hair growth. When your hair grows, it must go through a period where the old hair begins to fall out and in its place, new hair grows. If you use certain thinning hair remedies you can combat the process by speeding up the shedding of old hair and growth of new hair. However, this will not combat the underlying problem and will only last so long as you are taking the treatments plus—give or take—an additional six months after discontinued use. This is perfect for people experiencing hair thinning because of temporary problems. Not limiting customers to returns only on unopened bottles, ProRestora is the best hair loss treatment on the market because of its open-ended return policy.
