How-to Styling for Your Curly Cutie Using CURLS Curly Q’s Styling Products

Remember when you were a child and your mother would bring home the strangest things to put on your hair.  You were probably just happy to see her with something new to try, only to end up with the same result.  Lifeless, dry, crunchy hair or its opposite extreme; greasy, oily, heavy hair.  Thankfully your children have formulated styling products for curly hair.

CURLS Curly Q’s product line for kids is designed for the diverse curls our children have.  For this reason there is a variety of stying options to choose from.  Take a look.

Curly Q Milk Shake

Your multi-purpose hair solution.  You can apply this product on wet or dry hair throughout.  It’s water based consistency spreads well and only a moderate amount is necessary.  Gently work in with your fingertips. This moisturizing curl styler can be used as a leave in curl lotion and a rinse off conditioner to fine curlies.  It can alternatively be used as a moisturizing style prep for thick, kinky curlies.  Regardless of how you choose to use it, your darling’s hair will love it.

Curly Q Gel-Les’c Curl Jelly

So what is it?  Well, it’s not a gel, and not quite a serum.  It’s simply Curl Gel-les’c (Pronounced Curl Jealousy).  The product works for all curl types and serves as a smoother and definer while holding curls in their place without a stiff aftermath.  Spread evenly onto freshly cleansed curls.  The CURLS Curly Q Moist Curls Moisture Detangler can refresh day-two curls.

Curly Q Custard

Kinky Curlies of all ages often feel left out.  No need to feel that way around CURLS.  Curly Q’s has thought about the kinky curly’s needs also and provided a styling cream specifically for Kinky Curlies.  Thick and rich, the Curly Q Custard delivers a powerful potion with nourishing emollients of Octyl Palmitate and shea butter with organic Aloe Leaf juice and Organic Sunflower Oil.  It’s Vitamin B Complex adds structure ad strength to the weak areas of your hair but on top of that, it’s performance as a styler is stellar.  Use this cream for slicking ponytails, setting twists or a defined curly look.  Choose the best one for you and your child and have a blast with the new looks you can create.

Pre-pooing is an excellent practice, but is not essential when using Organic Hair Care Products

Organic Hair Care products are different than regular products, this due to the unique ingredients like exotic extracts, and natural alternatives.  These “clean” ingredients utilize nature to work with the natural structure of your hair.  For this reason the hair feels thicker, stronger, and is ultimately healthier.

Organic Hair Care Products are gentle.  They will not strip your strands when cleansing with shampoo.  Therefore, the pre-poo step is not an essential step to a hair care regiment when using an organic hair care system.  The art of pre-pooing began years ago, and is a consistent staple among Indian women.  Before shampooing their hair they would apply coconut oil to the strands and allow it to sit for a time.   Then they would shampoo.

This is an excellent practice for most women who use traditional shampoos because coconut oil as a pre-poo, prevents hygral fatigue, the process of hair expanding when wet, then contracting when dry.  This process can be damaging to the cuticle and the cortex and leave the hair weak.  Applying the correct pre-poo treatment could help the hair to take up less water during the cleansing process. This practice can be done for any hair type at any time.

However for those ladies with limited time in their schedules that are always seeking faster ways to meet their needs, you could opt to use clean, organic hair care products and simply skip the pre-poo step.Try  creamy cleansers like CURLS Creamy curl cleanser and Curlicious Curls cleansing cream.  These formulas are rich and conditioning while cleansing, which are great options for naturally curly hair care that needs all the moisture it can get.

If you are using regular shampoo, and want a faster, cleaner, and safer method, consider opting for an organic hair care regiment over your existing routine.

When Moisturizing Your Children’s Hair Try the LOC Method for Optimal Hair Care

Children live very active lives.  Like us they rise early in the morning and prepare for their day. Some of them go to before school programs, and then endure a full “work day” of school followed by homework time or after school care activities and sports.  With a day like that, it’s no wonder they come home with dry hair even after you carefully moisturized their strands that morning.  Your child needs something that will last them the full day.  Now this doesn’t guarantee that their hairstyle will last, but it does mean their hydration level will remain intact.

The L.O.C Method is one way to keep your child’s hair curly hair fully moisturized.

L- Leave in Conditioner

After Cleansing and Conditioning your child’s curly hair, apply a leave in conditioner for kids like CURLS Curly Q Moist Curls-Curl Moisturizer/Detangler to your child’s strands and finger comb throughout or use a comb if you wish.  This process is very important as the leave in conditioner will remain on the hair.  Leave in Conditioners are light but have just th
e right amount for a daily dose of moisture.

O- Oil

The next step is to apply an oil. The Mimosa Curly Q Elixir is the perfect oil for children’s hair.  Apply this oil after applying the leave in conditioner.  The oil in this process acts as a sealer.  It has moisturizing elements also but it will seal the moisture into the hair before any styling is done to the hair.

C- Cream

The final step is applying your cream stylers.  You may also use a gel if that is what is best for your child’s hair.  This is the last and final step because once your child’s hair has been properly moisturized it is prepared to behave during the styling process.

Keep a close eye on your child’s curly hair care patterns to see what is best for them.  This method can actually be done every day or as needed.  Have fun with it!
